Charlene L. Obringer, age 89, of Coldwater, died on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima. She was born on July 19, 1936 in Dayton to the late William & Lucille (Martin) White. On September 14, 1957 she married Ralph Obringer in Burkettsville and he survives in Coldwater.
Charlene is also survived by six sons and spouses: Brian (Lisa) Obringer, Mike Obringer, Chris (Jane) Obringer, Jeff (Trish) Obringer and David Obringer all of Coldwater and Joe (Tina) Obringer of Port Huron, MI. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a brother Bill White of Greenville and in-laws, Carl (Mary Jane) Obringer, Ft. Recovery and Dorothy Denney of NJ. In addition to her parents, Charlene is preceded in death by a grandchild, sisters, Joanne (Don) Kaiser and Shirley (Nevin) Hiestand and in laws, Louise White, Wilson Denney, Werner (Joan) Obringer, Alvira (Harold) Kaiser, Edward (Dorothy) Obringer, Jerome (Carolyn) Obringer, Rosemary (Victor) Metzger and Sr. Casilda Obringer.
She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Holy Trinity Church. Following the funeral mass, burial will take place in St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, February 23, and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Memorials may be made to St. Judes or Mercy Health St Rita's Hospice. Condolences for the family may be expressed in person or left at hogenkampfh.com.
