Catherine 'Cathy' M. Bertke, age 47, of Montezuma, died on Friday, February 21, 2014 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born August 9, 1966 in Coldwater, to the late John & Wilma (Kramer) Post. On October 30, 1993, she married Bret Bertke, who survives in Montezuma. She is also survived by three children, Marc Bertke, Ken Bertke and Cassie Bertke, all at home, brothers and sisters, Cecilia & Mike Brunswick of Seattle, Washington, Andy Post of Coldwater, Joe & Tisha Post of Celina and Lucy & Doug Strickler of Middlepoint, parents-in-law, Marvin 'Pete' & Margaret Bertke of Coldwater and in-laws, Dana & Theresa Bertke of Celina, Scott & Anna Bertke of Coldwater and Terri Bertke of Coldwater. She is preceded in death by brothers, Gerald Post and Virgil Post, and a brother-in-law, Pete Bertke. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, cooked at several area restaurants, and enjoyed camping and her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Friends may call from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday and 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Tuesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
