Carl Gene Porter, age 72, of 1025 Caterbury Dr. in Celina, Ohio, passed away at 10:40p.m. on Wednesday, December 05, 2012 at Miami Valley Hospital Dayton, Ohio. He was born on December 24, 1939 in Columbus , Ohio to the late Carl and Emily (Woods) Porter. On June 18, 1966 he married Barbara Barnett, who lives in Celina.

Also surviving are his sons & daughters-in-law Jason & Michelle Porter of Celina, Darren & Heather Porter of Celina, Todd & Lauren Porter of Bluffton, daughter & son-in-law Emily & Jeff Adams of Tipp City, 6 Grandchildren, Jessica Adams, Chelsea Adams, Jaysen Hone, Brayden Porter, Kyle Porter and Blake Porter.

Carl Graduated from Circleville High School in 1957 and received his Degree in Business Finance from the Ohio State University in 1961. He served his country as a sergeant in the Air Force National Guard during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina, the Celina American Legion Post #210 and a member of the Celina Moose Lodge.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m. on Monday Dec. 10, 2012 at the Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina, with Rev. John Exman officiating. Military honors will follow at the church following services. Friends may call from 2-6p.m. on Sunday Dec. 9, 2012 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina and 1 hour before services at the Church on Monday. American Legion Post membership services will be held at 6:00p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
