Cale Wenning

Cale Wenning, age 17, of Coldwater, died Thursday, August 22, 2024 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was born April 28, 2007 in Coldwater to the parents, Marty Wenning and Jessica Baumer. He is also survived by his brother, Kayden Baumer, grandparents, Sandy Baumer and Martin & Cecilia Wenning, also aunts and uncles, Adam (Tammy) Baumer, John Baumer, Greg & Kris Wenning, Jessica Wenning, and Stephanie Wenning. He is preceded in death by grandfather, Roger ‘Hub’ Baumer.

Cale was a student at Coldwater High School. He was a member of the National Honor Society. Cale played on the Cavalier Football and Baseball teams. He was an avid golfer. Cale had a passion for helping kids, he was a leader, teammate, and all-around tough kid.

Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church in Celina. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coldwater. Friends may call on Tuesday, August 27 from 1PM until 8PM and on Wednesday from 10AM until 11AM at the St. John Lutheran Church in Celina. Visitors are encouraged to dress casual. The Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cale Wenning Memorial Scholarship Fund.
