Betty graduated from Coldwater High School in Ohio in 1963. She married Jack on October 15th, 1966 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater. They moved to Salida, Colorado in 1977 with their three children where Betty volunteered at St. Joseph Catholic school which her children attended. Betty also worked as a bookkeeper for Jack’s shoe store, at an ice cream shop and eventually with the Hallmark Card Company, stocking cards at several different grocery stores in Salida and Colorado Springs when they moved there in 1993. She was affectionately known as “the card lady”. Betty then worked for the Pikes Peak Library District from which she retired in 2022, after 28 years of hard work. She worked many different jobs in her life but her greatest vocation in life and her proudest moments were being a wife and a mother. She was a loving, kind, giving person and was the prayer giant for her family. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary and was constantly praying for all she knew who were hurt and in need. Betty was an incredible wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Betty was a member of Divine Redeemer Catholic Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado and a funeral mass will be held there on December 31st at 9:00am. The mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Church in Coldwater, Ohio on January 8th at 10:30am followed by burial at St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
