She was born Dec. 23, 1925, on a farm east of Osgood, Ohio, the youngest child of the late Anton and Elizabeth (Meyer) Mueller. On Aug. 27, 1947, she married Frederick Seger (deceased).
She is survived by her six children and their spouses, Diana and William Walker of Huber Heights, David and Carol of Centerville, Donald and Judy of Bellbrook, Dennis and Debra of Tipp City, Deborah and Mark Gehle of Yorkshire, Lisa and Steven McNeilan of Versailles, 21 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
Seven sisters and two brothers preceded her in death; Anna Marie Gehret, Rosa Amelia Grieshop, Albert Frank Mueller, Marie Clara Bills, Henry Joseph Mueller, Emma Rose Frances Kunk, Helen Theresia Mueller (infant), Veronica Elizabeth Mueller (infant), and Ellenor Rosa Pohlman.
Mrs. Seger was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed gardening and making quilts and comforters for her family. She was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Osgood where she was a former choir member, rosary leader and member of the St. Barbara's Ladies Sodality. She was also a member of the Osgood American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
In celebration of her life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Osgood with the Rev. David Zink officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 1 and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 2 at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
