Bertha E. Heitbrink age 95, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, OH. She was born on May 16, 1931 in Cassella, Ohio to the late William & Rose (Schemmel) Tumbusch. She married Harold F. Heitbrink on February 16, 1952 at Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cassella, he preceded in death. She is survived by children; Ronald Heitbrink, Celina, Susan & David Fark, New Bremen, Andrew & Diana Heitbrink, Celina, Ellen Heitbrink, Coldwater, Teresa & Eric Ireland, Wapakoneta, Diane & Urb Seger, Coldwater. She is also survived by sister & in-laws; Betty Hilgefort, Montezuma, Betty Tumbusch, North Star, Olive Tumbusch, Mason. Bertha is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 1 on the way. She was preceded in death by son Jerry (Bud) Heitbrink, grandson Nathan Heitbrink, siblings & in-laws; Mary & Vic Hess, Ralph & Mary Tumbusch, Rita & Ott Homan, Wilfred Tumbusch, Barney Tumbusch & Ron Hilgefort. Bertha was member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was part of The Maria Stein Legion Auxiliary, Celina VFW, and the Red Hat Ladies. She was a retired nursing assistant trainer & rehab aide. Bertha was an avid Bingo player. She enjoyed embroidering, making towels to sell or to give away. She loved sitting around the table and playing cards with her children and later her grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, June 18, 2026 at St. Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, Ohio with Fr. Ken Schnipke as celebrant. Burial at St. John’s Cemetery in Maria Stein, Ohio. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM and on Thursday, June, 18 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Everheart Hospice Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
