Bernard 'Ben' H. Siefring, age 83, of Coldwater, Ohio, died on Monday, May 13, 2013 at his home. He was born January 4, 1930 in Philothea, to the late Bernard J. and Pauline (Dues) Siefring. On September 15, 1956, he married Mary (Kahlig) in Coldwater, Ohio and she survives. He is survived by seven daughters, Laura & Rick Sanfrey of Carmel, Indiana, Benita Siefring of Celina, Roberta & Keith Selhorst of Coldwater, Paula Siefring of Celina, Andrea & Kevin Reed of Coldwater, Christa & Todd Fullenkamp of Ft. Recovery and Sara & Kevin Mowery of The Colony, Texas, 17 grandchildren and siblings and spouses, Luetta Forsthoefel, Bernice & Don Wellman, Herbert & Stella Siefring, Gerald Siefring, Roger & Rose Ann Siefring and David & Eileen Siefring all of Coldwater and in-laws, Mildred Siefring of Celina, Dorothy Siefring, George Kahlig, Catherine Bruggeman, Margaret Klosterman, and Delores Kahlig all of Coldwater, and Howard Huwer of Celina. He is preceded in death by siblings and spouses Barthel Siefring, Omer & Monica Siefring, Elmer Siefring, Charles Siefring, and Orville & Jeannette Siefring and in-laws, Don Forsthoefel, Ray, Irene & Ruth Kahlig, Ralph & Dorothy Kahlig, Evelyn Kahlig, Gregor & Edna Kahlig, Irene Huwer, Leroy Bruggeman, Ed Kahlig and Mark Klosterman. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater and its Holy Name Society. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War, and a member of the Coldwater American Legion. He was a lifelong farmer and operated Siefring Feed & Equipment. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, with Fr. Marc Soellner, officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, Ohio. Friends may call on Thursday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater. Memorials may be made to Cheryl Ann Programs.
