Bernadette A. Hoying age 93 formerly of N. Garfield St. Minster, Ohio died at 2:00 AM on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Elmwood New Bremen. She was born on October 5, 1921 in Minster, Ohio to the late Albert & Eleanor (Stueve) Bensman. She married Elmer J. Hoying on October 11, 1941 in Minster, Ohio. He preceded her in death May 15, 1958. She is survived by children, Carolyn & Marvin Homan, New Bremen, Tim & Doris Hoying, Botkins, John & Patricia Hoying, Manhattan Beach CA, Steve & Ann Hoying, Minster, Mary Kay & Dennis Wuebker, Maria Stein, 23 grandchildren and 1 deceased, 47 great grandchildren, brother & sister, Paul & Joan Bensman, Minster, Martha Buschur, Coldwater, sister-in-law Dorothy Bensman, Minster, Clete & Mary Ruth Hoying, Anna, Rev. Vincent Hoying, Carthagena, Marcellus & Barb Hoying, Anna, Marcella & Cletus Thieman, Minster. She was preceded in death by brother Tom Bensman, sister Joan & Don Thieman, brother-in-law Robert Buschur, Brother Norbert Hoying, Virgil & Irene Hoying and infant John Hoying. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, formerly of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster and the Ladies Sodality of Sacred Heart Church. She was a homemaker and engaged in farming. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville with Rev. John Tonkin celebrant. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
