Belva Jean Roessner-Sandy, age 74 of Carthage, IL, formerly of Montezuma, Ohio, died on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born September 17, 1938 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Casper Dee & Viola (Copher) Herron. On May 10, 1958 she married Bruno Roessner and he died February 9, 1993, then on January 13, 2006 she married John Sandy and he survives in Carthage, IL. She is also survived by ten children, Bonita Swallow of Versailles, Bernard & Kathy Roessner of New Knoxville, Bruce & Darlene Roessner of St. Henry, Bennett & Kim Roessner of Bowling Green, Bryan & Melissa Roessner of Greenville, Brenda & Lloyd Jr. Klett of Lima, Brice Roessner & Kay Knoop of Greenville, Brad & Deb Roessner of Portland, IN, Brent Roessner & Jackie Mescher of Sidney and Bernice Brogaard & Fernando Moreno of Coldwater, three step children, Luane & Duane Graber of Breese, Il, Liane & Jason Fink of Quincy, IL and Christina & Billy Smith of Carthage, IL, 33 grandchildren & step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren & step great grandchildren, siblings Tarryl & Terry Herron of Covington, Nancy Smith of Kentucky, Dewey Herron of Piqua, Ted & Lucinda Herron of Piqua, Sue Wright of Covington and Dusty & Chartlotte Herron of Covington, a sister-in-law Ginny Herron of Anna, She was preceded in death by three brothers Marvin, Donald and Mike and a brother-in-law Gary Wright. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January, 23, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
