Archie L. Walker, age 83, of Montezuma, Ohio, died on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in Lima, Ohio. He was born September 15, 1929 in South Carolina, to the late William Lee & Lois (McGuire) Walker. On November 26, 1983 he married Joan (Schoen) and she survives in Montezuma. He is survived by two daughters Debbie & Ronnie Williams and Tami Walker all of Rock Hill, SC, six grandchildren: Annette Foy, Lee Walker, Anna Walker, Jenny Walker, Timmy McDaniel and Stephanie McDaniel, one step granddaughter Krista Chartier, five great grandchildren: Jayden, Jaxson, Jacob, Dalton & Tres, two step great grandchild, Emery & Kylee, a sister Judy Walker-Childers of Rock Hill, SC, and three in laws Shelia Walker of Whitmire, SC, Robert Schoen of Montezuma, OH and Mary Fleming of Whitehall, MD. He is also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Walker and siblings Polly Childers, Richard Walker, Gladys Reeves, Shirley Garrett & David Walker. He retired from the City of Rock Hill where he worked in the Utilities Dept. and formerly worked for the Rock Hill Herald. Archie loved nature, especially bird watching and fishing. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma, OH. Friends may call on Friday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Saturday from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Hogenkamp Funeral Home- Coldwater. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
