Anthony W. “Tony” Monnin, age 81, of Russia, Ohio, died on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at his home in Russia. He was born on
September 1, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio to the late John “Wilson” & Violet (Marshall) Monnin. He married Judy Francis on January 15, 1966 in Russia, Ohio. She survives in Russia. He is also survived by children: Bart Monnin, Stryker, Ohio, Leah & Brian Dershem, Russia, Mindy & Jeff Thobe, Russia, Richard Monnin, Russia, Thad & Jenny Monnin, Russia, Cory & Cassandra Monnin, Russia, 15 grandchildren and 1 deceased, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, siblings: Betty & Ron Eiting, Minster, Ken Monnin, Minster, Victor & Wanda Monnin, Russia, Lenny & Diane Monnin, Russia, Dan Monnin, Versailles, Wilson & Peg, Monnin, Sidney, Mike & Connie Monnin, Russia, in-laws: Dale Marchal, Englewood, Carolyn Barga, Versailles, Larry & Barb Francis, Russia, Linda & Tom Monnin, Russia. He was preceded in death by sister: Rose Marchal, brother Richard Monnin and infant brother Joseph, in-laws: Janet Monnin, Theresa Monnin, Jim Barga, Jean & John Magoto. Tony was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, Minster F.O.E. #1391, AMVETS, CWV, member of the Ohio National Guard and of the Weekly Fishing Club. He was the former owner of Vandalia Barbershop. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, Ohio. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Remy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Russia Catholic War Veterans. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
