Angela M. Prenger, age 91, of Coldwater, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater. She was born June 10, 1923 in Maria Stein, to the late Frank E. & Regina (Eyink) Knapke. On June 5, 1946 she married Norbert Prenger and he died November 19, 1970. She is survived by five children, Robert & Donna Prenger of Minster, Ronald & Nina Prenger of Celina, James & Marie Prenger of Hereferd, AZ, Diane & Bill Cottrell of Denton, TX and John Prenger of Celina, twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Roger & Catherine Knapke, Gilbert & Judy Knapke all of Chickasaw, in laws Walt Fleck of Celina, Irma Fleck of Coldwater, Mildred D. Prenger and Edwin Prenger, both of Coldwater, Viola Schmidt of Osgood, Mary Ann Lefeld of St. Henry, Ralph & Ruth Ann Prenger of Botkins, Alma Meyer of Ft. Loramie, Cletus & Rosann Prenger of Minster, Werner Prenger of St. Marys and Therese & Roger Schmidt of McCartyville. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Cathy Prenger, sisters Floriana Fleck and Eileen Fleck, and in laws John Fleck, Alvina & Vernon Ahrens, Leonard Prenger, Mildred E. Prenger, Norma Jean Prenger, Raymond Schmidt, Delores & Louis Meyer, Martin Lefeld and Herman Meyer. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the St. Ann's Altar Sodality and NAIM of the North. She worked as a deputy recorder for Mercer County for 25 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, with Fr. Richard Walling, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Friends may call on Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
