Alvin P. Luthman age 67 of 11741 Luthman Rd., Minster, Ohio died 7:42 PM, Thursday March 1, 2012 at his residence. He was born June 17, 1944 in Sidney, OH to the late Wilbert & Viola (Gariety) Luthman. He is survived by his former wife Karen (Watercutter) Simpkins, children Donna & Anthony Bayer, Colorado Springs, CO, Annette Luthman, Warrensburg, IL, grandchildren Hannah & Jessica Bayer & Bradley Dooley, brothers & sisters, Rita & Herb Fleckenstein, Ft. Loramie, Ruth Richard, Sidney, Wilbert & Joyce Luthman, Russia, Norma Barhorst, Minster, Carol & Ray Homan, Anna, Larry Luthman, Sidney, in-laws, Fred Drees, Versailles, Wilbur Sturwold, Russia, Nancy Luthman, Russia. Deceased brothers & sisters Irene Luthman, Eileen Drees, Ken Luthman, Mary Jane Sturwold, Robert Luthman, brother-in-laws Paul Richards & Lionel "Barney" Barhorst. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie and the Indian Lake Corvette Club. He was an avid auction attendee and enjoyed cutting wood to sell and was always helpful to friends and neighbors. He retired from Crown Corp with over 25 years of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 4:00 PM on Monday, March 5, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie with Rev. Dan Schmitmeyer celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home Russia from 3 to 7 PM on Sunday & from 2 to 3:30 PM on Monday. Burial will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery in St. Patrick, OH.
