Alvin H. Holdheide

Alvin H. Holdheide age 83 of St. Rose, Ohio died at 11:20 PM on May 27, 2017 at The Gardens of St. Henry.  He was born on July 17, 1933 in St. Rose, Ohio to the late Raymond & Josephine (Evers) Holdheide. He is survived by brothers and sister: Wilma & Wilferd Albers, Celina, Jerome & Velma Holdheide, Newport, Ohio, Werner & Joann Holdheide, St. Henry, Paul & Rosalee Holdheide, Maria Stein, Leonard & Marilyn Holdheide St. Rose, sister-in-law, Joan Holdheide, Fort Loramie, 24 nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Ralph Holdheide and 4 nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and of the men’s sodality. He was also an Army Veteran of the Korean War.  He retired from Pax Steel in Coldwater in 1997. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Maria Stein, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Rose Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 31, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 1.
