Alvin H. Bills

Al vin H . Bills , age 7 9 , of Maria Stein , passed away Thurs day, January 23 , 2020 at Vancrest of St. Marys . H e was born January 26 , 19 40 in Maria Stein to the late Clem & Marie ( Mueller ) Bills .  On May 2 5, 19 63 at St. Henry Catholic Church he married Madonna ( Brunswick ) Bills , a nd s he survives in Maria Stein .

Al vin is also survived by three daughters and their husbands : Sandra & Bill Franzer of St. Henry, Karen & Dale Stahl of Celina, Pam & Dale Schulze of Maria Stein, nine grandchildren, Holly &
Jason Rethman, Chad Franzer & Julie Knapke , Mitchell Franzer , Katie Stahl & Mark Thobe , Kelly Stahl, Kayla Seitz, Megan Seitz, Dustin Seitz, and Dallas & Shelby Schulze, and two great grandsons . Surviving siblings and in-laws of Al vin are Dennis & Dorothy Bills, Edgar & Judy Bills, Roseann & Jim Keller, Marilyn Osterholt , Tom & Diana Bills, Lavern & Cathy Brunswick, Marlene & Vic Eyink , and Maurice & Marlene Brunswick.

Al vin was pre ceded in death by a son-in-law Ken Seitz , as well as siblings and in-laws: Rich Osterholt and Dan & Betty Bills.

He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, the Men’s Sodality of St. Sebastian, and the Maria Stein Knights of St. John. Alvin was a lifelong farmer in Maria Stein, but he also worked for Bruns Building Supply, Mike Bruns Construction and retired from R & R Fabrications.  Alvin was a veteran of the United States Army.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tues day, Ja nuary 2 8 , 2020 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, St. Sebastian . Burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery. Friends may call on Mon day, January 2 7 , from 2 :00 to 8 :00 pm and on Tues day , and from 9:00 to 9:45 am at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry .  Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Sebastian Cemetery Maintenance Fund.
