Alice J. Poeppelman age 83 of Minster, Ohio passed away at 11:37 on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster. She was born December 12, 1928 in Minster, Ohio to the late George & Olivia (Kleinhenz) Thieman. She married Urban F. Poeppelman on November 6, 1948 in Minster. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1969. She is survived by children: Dr. David & Lucy Poeppelman, Ottawa, OH, Melvin & Lynne Poeppelman Bellevue, OH, Marilyn Poeppelman Minster, Gary & Lisa Poeppelman, Osgood, OH, brother & sisters; Edna Frierott, Minster, OH, Harold & Betty Jane Thieman, Minster, OH, Betty & Myrle Vallo, Kettering, OH, sister-in-law Clarissa Thieman, Minster, OH; 8 grandchildren, Brian, Amy, Kaitlyn, Ben , Dana, Kelley, Andy & Sam; 8 great grandchildren, Jason, Kayla, Cassie, Tori, Austin, Emma, Brooke & Matt. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Roger Thieman & sister Hilda Wehrman. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Osgood American Legion Auxiliary, Minster F.O.E. 1391, C.L.C., Ft. Loramie and she enjoyed cards, quilting and dancing. She was a farm wife, and secretary at St. Charles Seminary and with Green Thumb Job Opportunities. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Friday, March 2, 2012 at St. Augustine Church with Rev. Rick Nieberding Celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp funeral Home, Minster from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, March 1, 2012 and from 9 to 9:30 AM on Friday. Burial will be at St. Martin Cemetery in Osgood, OH.
