Alice Castles Evans, age 82, passed away peacefully Monday February 13, 2012 at Celina Manor Nursing Home in Celina Ohio after a short bout with cancer. Formerly Alice lived in the Lewisburg Pennsylvania area for more than 30 years with her husband Robert Evans. Alice was born May 31, 1929 to Rufus and Mary Lou (Ashford) Castles in Winnsboro South Carolina. She is predeceased by her parents and 7 of her siblings. Survivors include, her husband Robert Evans of Wellston Ohio, her brother Ashford Castles ( Becky) and her sister Beck Gossett (Bill) of Columbia South Carolina. Being one of ten children Alice is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families who will miss her sweet southern charm and her delightful disposition. Alice married Robert Evans on December 8, 1951 at Crooked Run Baptist Church in Winnsboro South Carolina. They shared a love for travel and even lived in Germany for five years early in their married life. Alice was a faithful donor to the Crooked Run Baptist Church for her whole life. She worked as a bookkeeper and took great pride in her work. Alice has donated her body to Humanity Gifts at the University of Toledo in Toledo Ohio. There will be no public services. Robert Evans
