Albin H. Kramer, age 97 of Maria Stein, died Friday, January 16, 2015 at Mercer Health in Coldwater. He was born March 8, 1917 in St. Rose, to the late Henry & Rosa (Holdheide) Kramer. On June 17, 1941 he married Lucille (Knapke) and she survives in Maria Stein. He is survived by three children, Fred & Joyce Kramer of Bloomington, Indiana, Diana & Paul Post of St. Henry and Jane & Steve Perez of Lehigh Acres, Florida, a son-in-law Donald & Donna Kremer of Coldwater, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, siblings, Norb Kramer of St. Henry, a sister, Mary Ann Severt-Overman of St. Marys and in-laws, Lucille Kramer of Celina, Ellen Kramer of Chickasaw, Urban & Mildred Knapke of Maria Stein and Addie Knapke of Versailles. He was preceded in death by a daughter Shirley Kremer, brothers and sisters, Leon Kramer, Othmar & Rose Kramer, Agnes & Elmer Knapke, Helen & Charles Connolly, Werner & Marilyn Kramer, Andrew Kramer, Hilda Kramer and Alfrieda Kramer and in-laws, Alice Kramer, Roman Severt, Gene Overman, Aloys & Dorina Knapke, Harry & Eleanor Winkeljohn, Andrew & Lorena Knapke and Albert Knapke. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Maria Stein, Knights of St. John #313, Maria Stein the Maria Stein American Legion #571, a lifetime member of the Chickasaw V.F.W. Post #9019. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII and he retired as a courier for Community First Bank in Celina. Albin enjoyed card playing and fishing. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at St. John Church with Fr. Tom Brenberger, officiating. Military rites will follow by the American Legion and V.F.W. Posts. Friends may call from 3 to 7 pm Tuesday and 9 to 10 am Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
