Robert P. Heyne, age 79, of 111 First St. Russia, OH formerly of Minster, OH, died Tuesday March 16, 2004 at Joint Township Memorial Hospital. He was born May 11, 1928 in Philothea OH to August & Lorena (Bergman) Heyne. He was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church and a former member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII, he was a member of the Minster American Legion, Minster FOE #1391. He retired after 40 years at Minster Machine. On February 15, 1947 he married Rita Gross. She survives in Russia. He is also survived by 4 daughters, Kathy & Tom Borchers, Russia, OH; Janice & Andy Armstrong, Russia, OH; Pamela & Henry Schmidt, Yorkshire, OH; Mary Beth & Dallas Guilford, Delta, OH; 2 sisters Dorothy Huelsman & Helen Reese, both of Dayton, a sister-in-law Lois Heyne; & 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary; grandson Scott Robert Guilford; a brother & a sister. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Saturday March 20, 2004 at St. Augustine Catholic Church Minster. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 2 to 8 PM Friday & 9 to 9:30 AM Saturday. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
