Vivian Wilcox
Vivian M. Wilcox, 85, 124 S. Lake St., Celina, died at 2:34 a.m. Feb. 21, 2004, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born Jan. 6, 1919, in Decatur, Ill., to Wilbur E. and Floid William Downing. On Feb. 26, 1938, she married Charles H. Wilcox who died May 4, 1971.
Also surviving are a son, Dean E. of Albion; a brother, Noel (Joan) Downing, Dublin; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, Gene; a daughter, Sharon Fortner; a brother, Roger; and a granddaughter.
She had worked as a cook at the Mercer County Jail and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Celina, and the Mercer County Council on Aging. She was a past member of the Shakespeare Club.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Stephen Merold officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery.
Calling is 2-3 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, has charge of arrangements.
