The Rev. Emil F. Dinkle C.PP.S., 78, of Bellevue, died Feb. 20, 2004, at St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo.
He was born Nov. 13, 1925, in Walker, Kansas, to Peter and Anna Mary HaberKorn Dinkle.
Surviving are two brothers, Ralph (Bubina) of Oakley, Kansas, and Virgil of Glen Burnie, Md.; and a sister, Arnita Scheck, Victoria, Kansas.
Deceased are three brothers, Edward, Alfred J. and Alvin C., and three sisters, Sister Appolonia C.S.A., Sister Lioba C.S.A., and Anna Laura Miller.
He entered Brunnerdale Seminary, Canton, Sept. 10, 1940 and was ordained to the priesthood May 18, 1952, at St. Charles Seminary, Carthagena. He served in the South American missions until 1978, after which he ministered in Michigan, Oklahoma, Ohio, California, Kansas and North Dakota.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Friday at St. Charles, with burial to follow at the community cemetery there.
Calling is 6-9 p.m. Thursday at St. Charles.
Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, has charge of arrangements.
Contributions can be made to the Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Bellevue.
