Wilbur D. “Bill” Haffey, age 71 of 1306 Queensbury Dr. in Celina died at 1:45 pm on Thursday Feb. 19, 2004 at the Celina Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Canal Winchester, Ohio to the late Ernest E. and Clara G. (Troup) Haffey. He is also preceded in death by his wife Judith E. Balderson who died last Oct. 16, 2003., they were married on Nov. 6, 1955. Survivors include one son & daughter-in-law: Larry D. & Pam of Celina, three daughters & sons-in-law: LuAnne M. Haffey of Portland, Maine; Tamara J. &Ron Boess of Celina; Ria C. & Robert Schroeder of Celina, 7 grandchildren: Jamie Cotterman of Celina; Jessica Boess of FT. Wayne, IN.; Brian Boess, Aimee Boess, Sydney Schroeder, Cory Schroeder & Lauren Schroeder all of Celina, one great-grandson Austin Cotterman of Celina, two brothers & sisters-in-law Paul & Jo Haffey of Upper Saddle River, NJ., Gene & Helen Haffey of Carroll, OH., one sister & brother-in-law Meriam & Paul Ernsberger of Westerville, OH, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a very successful and talented photographer from 1952-1978 and was owner of Townhouse Studio in Celina from 1959-1978He was a realtor for Century 21 Masterkey and a transfer Driver for the Dayton Daily Newspaper. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a member of the Ohio Board of Realtors, a licensed Auctioneer and a Licensed Appraiser. He served in the United States Navy for 8 years. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday Feb. 23, 2004 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Celina with Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating, burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery with military honors from the Celina American Legion and V.F.W. Friends may call at the Lehman Funeral home from 2-6p.m. on Sunday and at the Church on Monday from 9:30am –10:30am. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or the Cancer Asso. of Mercer county.
