Donald C. Poeppelman age 73, of McCartyville, Ohio, died Thursday February 19, 2004 at his residence. He was born on June 13, 1930 to August & Mary Ann( Lemkuhl) Poeppelman. He married Verona "Ronni" Otting on August 9, 1958, in Minster, OH. She survives in McCartyville. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Mens sodality of the church; Member of Knights of Columbus, McCartyville, 1948 Graduate of Minster High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired farmer and worked parttime at Precisin Strip. HE is also survived by daughters; Cathy & Steve Hoying, Anna, Linda & Larry Homan, Chickasaw, Margie & Ron Bruns, Anna; sons; Tom & Laura Poeppelman, Anna, John & Amy Poepelman, Minster, Dave & Stephany Poeppelman, Anna; sister, Alma & Ray Heilers, Anna; brother, Wilbur & Virginia Poeppelman, Botkins; sister-in-law, Dorothy Poeppelman, Anna & 15 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters & 2 brothers. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Monday, February 23, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, McCartyville, Ohio with Rev. Patrick Welsh Celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home Minster Ohio on Sunday, February 22, 2004 for 2 to 8 PM and 9 to 10 AM on Monday. Memorials may be made to Shelby County Cancer Society.
