John B. Meyer, age 81, of Russia, Ohio, died Saturday, January 24, 2004, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, Ohio He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He was also a member of Holy Name Society Of Church, 3rd Degree Of Kof C Russia, 4th Degree Of Kof C Minster, Ft. Loramie American Legion, Catholic War Veterans, Shelby County Farm Bureau, past board member of Russia Equity. He Served in the Air Force during World War II. He was the son of the late Henry Meyer and the late Elenora (Gehret) Meyer.He married Marceil M. Hemmelgarn on November 28, 1945. She preceded him in death on November 8, 1998. He is survived by his Daughters, Diane & Ken Prenger of Minster, Ohio, Marlene & Ernie Bergman of Yorkshire, Ohio, Bonnie & Nick Hoying, Karen & Mike Clawson of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Nancy & Kyle Plattner of Fort Loramie, Ohio, Jeanne & Wendell Arthur of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Lisa & Steve Gehret of Russia, Ohio, Sons, Kenneth & Mary Lou Meyer of Fort Loramie, Ohio, Thomas & Barbara Meyer of Fort Loramie, Ohio, Denny & Jane Meyer of Fort Loramie, Ohio, Rick & Sandy Meyer of Fort Loramie, Ohio, David Meyer of Russia, Ohio. Three Sisters, Marcella & Bob of Russia, Ohio, Mary Margaret & Henry Fullenkamp of Russia, Ohio, Leola & Francis Hoying of Russia, Ohio, Three Brothers, Ray Meyer of Russia, Ohio, Clarence & Ruth Ann Meyer of Fort Loramie, Ohio, Sylvester & Jean Meyer of Covington, Ohio. Forty Two grandchildren, 3 deceased, Thirteen great-grandchildren, Arrangements are being handled by N.J. Hogenkamp Sons, Inc., 61 South Hanover St., Minster, Ohio, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 27, 2004 and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 28, 2004. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Newport at 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 28, 2004 , Rev. Anthony Cutcher celebrant. Interment will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Newport, Ohio
