Lois Hall
Lois E. Hall, 99, of Celina, died at 8:45 p.m. Dec. 20, 2003, at The Gardens at Celina.
She was born Aug. 27, 1904, in Montezuma, to Owen T. and Elizabeth Buxton Elder. On Aug. 1, 1925, she married Vaughn Hall who is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Owen (Madonna) of Celina; a daughter, Ruthann (Eldon) Eichenauer, Celina; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Wendell Elder, and a sister, Lucille Bair.
A graduate of Findlay University, she taught in one-room schoolhouses and later was a case worker at the Mercer County Welfare Department before retiring at the age of 75. She was a member of the Neptune Church of God, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a pianist, the Shakespeare Club, the Public Employees Retirement Association, Business & Professional Club and the West Ohio Livestock Exchange.
A coffee open house celebrating her life will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Church of God, Celina.
Memorial services follow at 10:30 a.m. at the church, with Richard Van Horn and Gwyn (Eichenauer) Stetler officiating.
Contributions can be made to the Vaughn Hall Family Scholarship at Winebrenner Theological Seminary.
