Donald J. Fullenkamp, 81, 2240 Burkettsville-St. Henry Road, St. Henry, died at 3:35 a.m. today, Dec. 17, 2003, at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Fort Recovery, to Jacob and Gertrude King Fullenkamp. On Oct. 23, 1948, he married Jeanette Moeller who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Gary (Diane) of Rockford and Kevin of St. Henry; a brother, Werner of Coldwater; two sisters, Dolores Fullenkamp and Cleopha (John) Bihn, all of Fort Recovery; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Deceased are five brothers, Omer, Ferd, Dominic, Vincent and Madona, and a sister, Belinda Brunswick.
He had been employed at Avco New Idea, Coldwater and was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church, Fort Recovery American Legion Post, Eldora Booster Club and Eldora Big E Club. He served with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with the American Legion conducting military rites.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 8:45-9:45 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
