Leona M. (Rockhold) Huckemeyer, age 88, formerly of Celina passed away at 8:41p.m. on Sunday February 17, 2008 at the Fairhaven Community Nursing Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
She was born on January 7, 1920 to the late Harmon & Lillie (Purdy) Rockold in Spencerville,Ohio. On September 26, 1940 she married Marion R. Huckemeyer, who died July 26, 2002. Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law James & Sandy Huckemeyer of Neptune; Merlin & Nancy Huckemeyer of Morehead City, N.C.; daughter & son-in-law Janet & Wallace Knapp of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren She is preceded in by her sister Mary Louise Rockhold. She was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in St. Marys. She was the Bookkeeper and Office Manager for her husband’s insurance company Marion Huckemeyer Insurance in Celina. Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday February 20, 2008 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Mary Curtis officiating.
