Mildred “Maxine” Carpenter, age 87, formerly of Celina, passed away on Feb. 7, 2008 in Stuart, Florida. She was born on January 30, 1921 in Van Wert, Ohio to the late Earl & Mabel (Helverson) McCrory. On July 4, 1943 she married Francis W. Carpenter, who died July 9, 2001. Survivors include her son Michael Carpenter of Stuart, Florida. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Celina. A graveside memorial services will be held in April at the Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, Ohio, Rev. Robert Metheny will Officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
