Wynk, Elmer (EJ), age 84, of St. Sebastian, Ohio, died Thursday, February 14, 2008 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. He was born October 8, 1923, in Montezuma, Ohio to the late John and Catherine (Steuve) Wynk. He married Jean (Fleck) on May 29, 1948 who survives. Also surviving are 4 children: William (Sharon) Wynk of Coldwater, Ohio, Diane (Ted) Bertke of St. Sebastian, Ohio, David (Lucy) Wynk of Chickasaw, Ohio and Sue (Rick) Roeckner of Chickasaw, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister Lorena (Ott) Reichert of Cassella, Ohio and 2 sisters-in-law: Wilma Wynk of Osgood, Ohio and Rita Wynk of Carthagena, Ohio. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Lester and Robert and a sister: Dorothy Wynk. He attended St. Sebastian Catholic Church and was a member of Men's Holy Name Society of the Church, Maria Stein American Legion Post 571 and Chickasaw V.F.W. #9019. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Sebastian Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Kenneth Schroeder officiating. Visitation will be at Hogenkamp Funeral Home - Coldwater on Monday, February 18, 2008 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday February 19, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. Burial will be at St. Sebastian Cemetery with full military rites.
