Paul L. Gaier, Sr., age 68, of Fort Loramie, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at Kindred Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He was a member of the Power of the Past, Greenville, Wapak Buckeye Antique Tractor Association, Draft Horse Association, and former member of Minster F.O.E. He was a retired farmer and Heavy Equipment Operator for S.E. Johnson Company. He was born July 23, 1939 to the late Albert Gaier and the late Mary Helen (Hoelscher) Gaier. He married Charlene (Schmerge) Gaier on October 24, 1959. She survives in Ft. Loramie. He is also survived by Daughters, Donna & Dan Wannemacher of Anna, Ohio, Patty & Jim Wood of Sidney, Ohio, Tina & Robert Allen of Sidney, Ohio, Son, Paul Gaier, Jr. of Fort Loramie, Ohio; Sisters, Agnes & Donald Doseck of Botkins, Ohio, Janice & Elmer Larger, Jr. of Fort Loramie, Ohio, Linda Gaier of Fort Loramie, Ohio; Ten grandchildren
Five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 infant siblings. Arrangements are being handled by N.J. Hogenkamp Sons, Inc., 61 South Hanover St., Minster, Ohio, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 31, 2008 and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Friday, February 1, 2008. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Michael Catholic Church at 10:30 AM Friday, February 1, 2008, Rev. Steven Shoup Celebrant. Interment will be at St. Michael Cemetery in Ft. Loramie, Ohio.
