Thomas R. Niekamp, age 69, of Chickasaw, Ohio, died Friday, January 18, 2008, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home in Coldwater, Ohio. He was a member of Precious Blood Church. He was also a member of Men's Sodality Of Church, Chickasaw VFW and spent 7 years in the National Guard. He was a retired farmer and form Crown Equipment Corp., New Bremen. He was born September 30, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio to late Leo Niekamp and the late Mary (Huber) Niekamp. He married Mary Rose Long on June 18, 1960. She preceded him in death on February 8, 2005. He is survived by his Daughters, Diane & Tom Raterman of Minster, Ohio, Marsha & Brian Blickle of New Bremen, Ohio; Son, Dan & Carol Niekamp of New Weston, Ohio; Sister, Mary Jean Sacher of Kettering, Ohio; Brother, John & Pat Niekamp of Akron, Ohio, sister-in-law Ann Niekamp, West Virginia; Eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Jerome & Richard Niekamp, sister-in-law Charlene Niekamp. Arrangements are being handled by N.J. Hogenkamp Sons, Inc., 61 South Hanover St., Minster, Ohio, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, January 20, 2008 and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Monday, January 21, 2008. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Precious Blood Church at 10:30 AM Monday, January 21, 2008, Rev. Harry Cavanaugh Celebrant. Interment will be at Precious Blood Cemetery in Chickasaw, Ohio. Memorials may be made to Donor’s Choice.
