Hess, Victor L., age 82, of Coldwater, Ohio, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Community Hospital in Coldwater, Ohio. He was born April 3, 1925, in Carthagena, Ohio to the late Henry and Margaret (Hoelscher) Hess. He married to Mary C. (Tumbusch) Hess on August 11, 1948 in Cassella, Ohio and she survives. He is also survived by 4 children: Gary (Sue) Hess of Coldwater, Ohio, June (Bill) Brandewie of Versailles, Ohio, Roger (Kim) Hess of Coldwater, Ohio and Deb (Dan) Faller of Fort Recovery, Ohio; 10 grandchildren: Nathan & Mindy Hess, Kristen Brandewie, Jena, Marla, Taylor, Molly & Troy Hess, Brent & Kara Faller. 1 sister: Rita (Ben) Hoying of Montezuma, Ohio; 3 sisters-in-law Adella Hess of Saint Henry, Ohio, Eleanor Hess of Coldwater, Ohio and Addie Hess of Saint Henry, Ohio. He is preceded in death by 3 brothers: Urban, Jerry and Art and 3 sisters and brothers-in-law: Magdelena Hess, Bertha (Ernie) Beckstedt and Monica (Gregor) Grevenkamp. He attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater and was a member of the Men's Holy Name Society of the Church, Knights of St. John, Maria Stein, Ohio and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3025 Coldwater, Ohio. He retired from the former New Idea plant in Coldwater and was past president of the New Idea Credit Union. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Dan Schmitmeyer officiating. Visitation will be at Hogenkamp Funeral Home - Coldwater on Sunday, January 20, 2008 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday January 21, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, in Coldwater, Ohio.
