Bensman, Mary R., age 96, formerly of Celina, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home in Coldwater, Ohio. She was born June 9, 1911, in Wilmington, Ohio to the late Charles and Ella (Cahill) Athey. She married Ralph L. Bensman on February 17, 1931 in Celina, Ohio. She is survived by a daughter Dorothy Mader of Coldwater, Ohio; a sister-in-law Virginia Bensman of Ft. Mitchell, Ky.; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son Charles Bensmen; a son-in-law Zane Mader; a brother William Athey, a sister Hazel George and twin great-granddaughters. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, Ohio. She was an honorary life member of the Women of the Moose, Celina and was a homemaker. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Friday, January 18, 2008 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Richard Riedel officiating. Visitation will be at Hogenkamp Funeral Home - Coldwater on Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday January 18, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Marys Cemetery, in Celina, Ohio. Memorials can be made to May be made to a memorial tree and bench in Mary's honor at the new Briarwood Village in Coldwater or the donor's choice.
