Ralph Baumgartner
Ralph W. Baumgartner, 87, 9860 Ohio 49, Rockford, died at 5:15 p.m. March 21, 2004, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
He was born Nov. 25, 1916, in Chattanooga, to Paul and Hulda Andrews Baumgartner. On June 5, 1936, he married Helen Martin who died in 1991.
Surviving are three daughters, Phyllis (Jack) Rutledge, Celina, Rose (Larry) Myers, Monroe, Ind., and Becky (Gary) Archer, Pleasant Mills, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
A brother, Dale, and a sister, Goldie Francis, are deceased.
He had managed Andrews Saw Mill and worked as bookkeeper at Andrews Automotive, Rockford. He was a former member of the Mercer County Sportsmen Association.
Private graveside services will be held later at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina, the Rev. Neil Hammonds officiating.
Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, has charge of arrangements. There will be no calling.
